Janet is a watercolor artist who paints places and people with whom she feels an emotional connection. Much of her source material is derived from newspaper clippings and family photographs. Janet often reinterprets her subject matter to express her ideas or feelings. Landscape, portraiture and the beauty, plight and humanity of heroic women are recurring genres and themes in her work.

Fall Colors
I am retired after 38 years as an engineer. I spent 30 years in the Natural Gas conditioning business and 8 years in telecommunications. After retirement I decided to peruse two of my life long loves, art and music. I have been taking watercolor painting and guitar classes for the past 3 semesters.
